Warm Muffin

My mom requested awhile back for me to post a picture of KL's bedroom that we repainted in July. It originally was a very ugly "daquiri (sp?) ice" color... sort of a pastel seafoam green. Little did we know that the following month we would decide to move... hmmm... well at least we know the name of the paint color.

Speaking of paint color names, it's funny how they help me decide what color to choose. We knew we wanted to paint the room a warm "hayish" color since KL wanted to keep a Western theme. We found the cutest bedding that is the fabric of a well worn cowgirl red bandana. We found darling accessory pillows to go with it (the picture really doesn't do it justice). We topped it with the cutest quilt in the whole wide world that Grammy made and the contrast of reds is really fun. We finally found a paint color titled "Warm Muffin". It is amazing how as soon as we put it on the wall, the room felt much warmer and cozier. Truly it looks like the color of fresh baked corn bread. I would love to say that the bed is always so nicely made... but my nose would grow if I did : )

What a difference the color of the walls make. Warm Muffin is a beautiful color and definitely warms the whole room with a soft glow. The bed looks gorgeous all made up. Now that KL has more time in the mornings she can develop the habit of making her bed just because it's got to be a good feeling seeing it like that when she walks in! TeeHee . . . I love it, and thank you!

Oh! What a wonderful room! I would just love to plop on the bed and read a good book about a horse!

Beautiful walls too, so it is good you know the paint color you like. I love that color too. I'm sure you can make KL's room just as pretty in your new house, that bed is just fabulous!
